The Journey Of A Crew Student

The Journey Of A Crew Student

I am a freelance make up artist studying at  The Makeup Crew. I started in Module 1 but loved the experience so much that I decided to come back and study their Module 3 course. Joining The Makeup Crew has been the best decision I’ve ever made!

Like a true makeup addict, my interest in makeup artistry began long before my career in makeup did. The make up crew has introduced me to fashion, glamour, theatre, ageing, characters, fantasy and SFX makeup.

My experience started when I  took part a our college photoshoot, then I went on to gain experience at different events such as at Mr & Miss sunrise international 2016 pageant, Miss teen Ireland, Miss centenary 2016, RDS bridal show, strictly dancing as part of Bank of Ireland, Mr&Miss Valentine, sickle cell fashion show, Irish fashion&glamour magazine, style Warrior part II 2016.I’ve also worked along with designers such as Kerrie Forest ,Rio Soul Beachwear, House of Maiya , and Oxana Couture designs.

Before I graduated from Module 1, it was an honour to represent Make Up Crew in RDS for Full Body Painting (warpaint competition RDS) where I placed 2nd!

A few months ago, the Radisson Royal Blu Hotel booked me during St.Patricks day to do face painting for all their staff,  it was an amazing day full of Irish colours! Recently Saba Thai restaurant booked me during Halloween to do face painting for their staff..amazing! I love doing complicated make up looks 😀 not just once, I was booked again to do Halloween looks with Make Up Crew in Lili’s Bordello and Mime’s in house of Dublin.
I was delighted to be chosen as one of the make up artist for Belfast Alternative Fashion Show last week. It was an amazing experienced and I want to thank Make Up Crew 😍  I have noticed that my confidence has increased and that is all thanks to all my clients feedbacks and to The Makeup Crew who I’ve learned a lot from.  I am forever thankful, not only is this course is the best choice for me but the tutors are so helpful and very skilful too.
And lastly, I want to thank to both ICare Magazine and Irish fashion & Glamour to advertise my work on their magazine 💋

✨next Blog: why I chose this career?✨COMING SOON✨
