The Burlington Hotel formally The Double Tree Hilton was a wash with colour, inspiration and talent this weekend as we got the chance to go along and work with the models behind the scenes for some serious prepping before the floor show finale for there category of Men’s Fashion.
The venue was absolutely buzzing with creative talent from all over the country but the main focus was not the makeup of course but the hair.
For men’s fashion makeup needed to be kept clean, minimal and kept masculine. It should not over power, be seen or have noticeable as product on the skin. This really is a no makeup, makeup. Some tips for Male Grooming looks. Use a skin freshener spray to hydrate the skin such as a MAC Fix+ spray. If the skin is overly oily use a touch of a mattifying primer or under base or if it is dry ensure you moisturise. The aim of the game is to enhance the models skin to fresh, healthy & to minimise redness.
Use the appropriate tone concealers, powders etc to suit the models skin and also apply your powder well as the models need to stand and possible may be hot so powder will keep the skin matt. If you feel the need to sculpt the models cheeks a contour product or a bronzer will do the business! Massive congrats to John Coss Creative Hair on his double win placing 1st and 2nd place for Mens Fashion.
